Lower Merion soccer player earns PSCA All-State honors

While the area’s school districts recognize students, athletes, and teachers on a regular basis, it isn’t every day that the Commonwealth steps in to say, “job well done.” But one Lower Merion School District star was recently recognized at the state level.

“Congratulations to Lower Merion High School senior Dylan Steinberg, who received All-State Honors from the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association (PSCA) at its annual awards ceremony in late January 2026,” said a recent release from the district.

Steinberg was a four-year varsity player for LMHS. She scored more than 73 goals and contributed 53 assists during her high school career.

“She plans to continue her soccer career next fall at Cornell University,” said the district’s release.

Steinberg and her teammates are coached by LMHS science teacher Kevin Ries. The soccer team played its way to the 4A PIAA Girls’ Soccer Championships in 2025, losing 3-2 to Nazareth Academy on Nov. 4, 2025.
