Chatham Park Elementary School to host open house on Thursday
Completed in September, students at the Chatham Park Elementary School have enjoyed just a few short months in a new and improved facility. Now in its first year of full operation since its remodel, the school . And this week, you can take a tour of the updated facilities.
A community open house will be held on Thursday, Dec. 11 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and the public is invited to attend.
“We are excited to invite you to a special Open House Event celebrating the newly expanded and newly constructed facilities,” said Diana Cooke, technology assistant, on the school’s homepage.
Created by the Tester Construction Group, along with architect Crabtree, Rohrbaugh, & Associates, the elementary school building was designed to “modernize and expand,” according to the organization’s website.
“The event will showcase the school’s newly expanded and constructed facilities,” said Anna Pisani Deacon, Communications Coordinator for the School District of Haverford Township. “Light refreshments will be provided, and visitors are invited to explore designated areas, including showcase rooms and large group spaces such as the gymnasium, library, and cafeteria. Most classrooms will be open for viewing only. To ensure safety, all school-aged children must be accompanied by an adult.”
Guests may enter through the main entrance beneath the red overhang on Allston Road.
“We look forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with all attendees,” said Deacon.
Chatham Park Elementary School is located at 400 Allston Road in Haverford. No reservations are required for the open house.
