Reports: 3 Delco police officers are target of criminal probe
Three Delaware County police officers — one in Darby Township and two in Sharon Hill — are reportedly under investigation, but so far it is unclear why.
According to multiple news reports, all three officers involved in the probe have been placed on paid administrative leave. The county’s Criminal Investigation Division is conducting the investigation, and search warrants were executed at the officers’ homes on Feb. 6.
The Darby Township solicitor reportedly said a subpoena was also issued, but it remains sealed. And Rodney Hill, vice president of the Sharon Hill Borough Council, said he is committed to ensuring the investigation is both thorough and transparent.
Sources told NBC 10 that the investigation centers on illegal drugs, but the Delaware County District Attorney’s office told multiple news outlets that it had no comment at this time.
