RTPD offers help to students after RMS employee is arrested

After a Radnor Middle School employee was arrested for a Texas child sexual assault, Radnor Police Superintendent Chris Flanagan posted a message to parents on Facebook, offering help to those who are concerned.

“Following the arrest of Michael Robinson, a former paraprofessional with the Radnor Township School District, we recognize that this is deeply concerning and unsettling for our families and neighbors,” said Flanagan.

“We understand that news of the charge may raise concerns among parents, students, and our entire community. We encourage any student or parent with concerns of possible criminal activity to contact the Radnor Township Police Department at 610-688-5606.”

“Additionally, the Community Support Unit and Police Social Worker, Isabel Cook, LCSW, is available as a resource for families seeking guidance on how to speak with their children or who would like to access counseling services,” Flanagan said.

On Feb. 26, members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and Radnor Township Police arrested Robinson, a Radnor Middle School paraprofessional.

Robinson, 42, is wanted by the Tyler Police Department in Texas, where he is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child under 15 years old.

Robinson had traveled to Tyler in August 2004 after meeting a juvenile online, according to the U.S. Marshals Office. The victim was then sexually assaulted over the course of a weekend.

In December 2025, the Smith County, Texas District Attorney’s Office indicted Robinson, and the warrant was sent to the Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force.

During their investigation, the Marshals determined that Robinson was employed at the Radnor Township Middle School as a paraprofessional.

Radnor Township Police assisted in the arrest.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
