Arrested: Radnor Middle paraprofessional on sexual assault of a minor charges
Members of the U.S. Marshals Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force and Radnor Township Police arrested a Radnor Middle School paraprofessional Thursday morning.
Michael Robinson, 42, is wanted by the Tyler Police Department in Texas, where he is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child under 15 years old.
Robinson had traveled to Tyler in August 2004 after meeting a juvenile online, according to the U.S. Marshals Office. The victim was then sexually assaulted over the course of a weekend.
In December 2025, the Smith County, Texas District Attorney’s Office indicted Robinson, and the warrant was sent to the Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force.
During their investigation, the Marshals determined that Robinson was
employed at the Radnor Township Middle School as a paraprofessional. At approximately 7:30 a.m., investigators from the Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Philadelphia and Radnor Police officers observed Robinson in the 200 block of Windermere Avenue in Radnor.
Robinson was then arrested without incident and transported to the Radnor Township Police Department for processing. He is currently being held at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility, awaiting extradition to Texas.
“Crimes against children are some of the most serious warrants our task force investigates. Mr. Robinson’s arrest demonstrates sexual predators will always be pursued relentlessly by the Marshals Service,” said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
Theji Brennan, a spokesperson for the Radnor Township School District, confirmed that Robinson was an employee.
“The district is cooperating fully with law enforcement,” said Brennan. “At this time, we have no information indicating misconduct involving district students. Parents of the limited number of children to whom the employee was assigned were contacted by the administration immediately.”
“The employee has been placed on leave and will not have contact with students. At the time of hire, all required background checks were completed,” Brennan said. Robinson was hired in September 2023.
The Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force is a team of law enforcement officers led by U.S. Marshals in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. The task force’s objective is to locate and arrest fugitives who are charged with committing violent crimes.
Numerous agencies are members of the task force, including the Philadelphia Police Department, Pennsylvania State Parole Officers, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Attorney General Agents, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, along with the Chester Police Department, Bucks County Sheriff’s Office, and Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
