Accident on 476 results in head injuries for a 19-year-old driver

A single-vehicle crash was reported early Wednesday morning, which left one 19-year-old man involved with a head injury, according to county dispatch.

According to dispatch, calls were received around 6:39 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 for the reports of a car crashed into the guardrails along Interstate 476 at the southbound ramp for Interstate 76 Eastbound. The incident occurred within West Conshohocken Borough. The passing lane was temporarily blocked as emergency responders assisted the driver. Only one vehicle was involved in the crash.

Delaware County ambulance, fire, and EMS units from Radnor Fire Company in Wayne, among other first responders, reported to the scene. One driver of the single vehicle involved was transported for medical treatment for a head injury.

More information on the accident will be posted as it is made available. All lanes were reopened for travel soon after the scene was cleared.
