Radnor Township School District names Dr. Sharon Schaefer as Assistant to the Superintendent: Teaching and Learning

The Radnor Township School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sharon Schaefer as Assistant to the Superintendent: Teaching and Learning. Dr. Schaefer was approved by the Radnor Township School Board during a special meeting held on Tuesday, Jan. 13 and will officially begin her role on March 2, 2026.
Dr. Schaefer brings extensive experience in public education, with a strong record of leadership focused on instructional excellence, curriculum development, and student achievement. Most recently, she served for over six years as Director of Curriculum and Instruction in the Manheim Township School District.
Prior to that role, she spent seven years as Principal of Brecht Elementary School. Her career in education began in the classroom, where she taught at the elementary level in Manheim Township, Central Bucks, and Washington school districts.
“Dr. Schaefer’s depth of experience and unwavering commitment to high-quality teaching and learning make her an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” said Superintendent Dr. Kenneth E. Batchelor.
“Her collaborative approach and expertise in curriculum and instruction will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen educational opportunities for all Radnor students.” Dr. Schaefer is a highly accomplished educational leader, holding a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership from Neumann University, along with a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility, Principal Certification (K–12), a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
In her new role, Dr. Schaefer will work closely with district and school leaders to support curriculum development, instructional practices, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the district’s strategic goals. The Radnor Township School District welcomes Dr. Schaefer and looks forward to her leadership and contributions beginning this spring.
