‘The Brandywine’ hotel to open doors this spring in Radnor
This spring, a new boutique hotel will be coming to the Main Line.
The Brandywine, a 121-room property at 165 King of Prussia Road, is a Marriott Bonvoy Tribute Portfolio Hotel operated by Aimbridge Hospitality. But it is owned and being developed by Brandywine Realty Trust, which is reportedly the region’s largest office building owner.
The new hotel will be a key component of Brandywine Realty Trust’s 2.1 million-square-foot presence in Radnor, the firm said. The guestrooms will pair “timeless elegance with modern conveniences,” and suites will feature private outdoor patios.
The property will also host two new dining options. Merrick’s Tavern, located on the ground floor, will serve regional American classics and “a bar that leans into a deep affection for bourbon and rye, alongside local brews and an extensive wine list.”
And the Pomelo Rooftop Terrace, which is open year-round, will offer “creative cocktails rooted in nature’s apothecary and a locally sourced yet globally inspired menu.”
The Brandywine will reportedly cost $60 million to develop, and its owners expect that over a quarter of the hotel’s business will come from tenants in Brandywine Realty Trust’s other Radnor buildings, such as Lincoln Financial Group and Penn Medicine.
