Delaware County Chamber of Commerce announces Citizen of the Year: Christine Jackson
The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce was happy to announce the winner of an annual award, Citizen of the Year.
At this year’s EPIC Awards, the organization “had the privilege of honoring Christine Jackson as our 2025 Citizen of the Year.” The chamber said it is a “recognition of her remarkable leadership, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the well-being of young people throughout Delaware County and beyond.”
According to the chamber’s announcement, with over 25 years of experience supporting children and families, Jackson has built a career “rooted in compassion and advocacy.”
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Education from Penn State University, she worked with a variety of children with different needs. But it was a personal loss that formed her future, both professionally and emotionally.
“[Jackson] developed a strong foundation in child development — but her journey took on a deeper purpose following the heartbreaking loss of her daughter,” said the chamber’s release.
In response to her loss, Jackson was able to take pain and convert it into something beautiful. Perhaps that is why the symbol of her nonprofit is a purple butterfly, a symbol of transformation.
Jackson co-founded Hope For Hallie in 2020. It is described by the chambers as “a nonprofit committed to reshaping conversations around mental health and ensuring adolescents and young adults have access to meaningful, judgment-free support.”
“As Executive Director, [Jackson] has led the organization to fund thousands of therapy sessions, expand outreach, and foster community awareness across high schools, colleges, professional sports teams, and even the Pennsylvania Capitol,” said the chamber’s announcement of the award.
The chamber’s members felt it was important to highlight all Jackson has created.
“Christine’s leadership blends personal passion with professional expertise, breaking down stigma and creating pathways for young people to seek help, find community, and thrive,” said the announcement. “We were honored to celebrate Christine and shine a light on the profound impact she continues to make in our region.”
Congratulations once again to Christine Jackson, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Citizen of the Year.
